JEREMIAH 29:11
I’m in my senior year of high school. Things are rapidly changing in my life and I feel pulled in a million different directions. I have to apply to college and for scholarships, think about my major, potential jobs … my life is taking a new road that is exciting, but overwhelming. Often I find myself sitting with a furrowed brow and tense shoulders, and I am having trouble sleeping or just relaxing. My mind has been too preoccupied to concentrate on my friends, family, or simply having fun. The questions and doubts seem unending: What if I don’t get accepted into college? What if I don’t have enough money to pay for college? What if I don’t enjoy my major and change it several times? A few days ago I was reminded of Jeremiah 29:11. I had heard this verse so many times, but it struck me so personally this time. My whole life I have depended on my parents to feed me, clothe me, and take care of me. Just as I depended on my parents for everything a few years ago, I am learning to depend on God in a similar way. He has a perfect plan for my life. And if I trust Him with my goals and dreams, my life, then He will show me His way and direct my steps.

You know the plans You have for me.
So why do I worry? Teach me to trust You.
