GENESIS 1:27
Why do we look at the girl next to us and wish we had her hair, nose, or thighs? Did God make a mistake when He made you or me? Sometimes it can seem that way. I used to feel awkward around people, which was weird since I am outgoing and love talking with new people. But during that stage I would retreat because I felt unsure around others. I was struggling with this when God showed me that I was paying more attention to what others said than what God says is true about me. Allowing the fear of people to rule my heart made me very insecure. I thought that the way people perceived me was how God must think of me too. WRONG! Read some of the truths in His word about you. He planned your body shape, chose the talents and gifts you have, and even knew where you would grow up and live. The enemy attacks God’s artwork when he lies to us about our bodies, our personalities, and our lives. The only way to gain victory over insecurity is to trust in who you are in Christ. I started with reading and rereading Psalm 139. Learning who Christ is teaches you about who you are, because we are all made in His image. What an honor to be made in the image of the only perfect being that ever existed, to be God’s artwork!

Is it true You made me, God?
Made me just the way I am? I’m just not sure I believe it.
Help me to believe today and feel it in my heart.
