2 CORINTHIANS 8:12
One of the best gifts I ever received was from my little brother at Christmas. It was not because it was fancy or high tech or even very cool at all. I actually had helped him go shopping at Wal-Mart to get all his Christmas presents. I opened it and was greeted by a bright pink three-ring binder. But this was a very special binder. My brother was six, and he loved to color pictures for other people. This hot pink binder was covered in his drawings. The drawings were an expression of his personality right there on my notebook. It was filled with his smiling faces and the deformed looking bodies that only a six-year-old can draw. He’s great. He didn’t have any money to buy me anything, but he still wanted to get me something. I’d like to think that God’s like that for me. I might not have a lot of money or talent or anything, but if I am willing to put the effort into whatever I do and embrace His promises to me, then I know God is smiling as He accepts my gift.

Father, thank You far smiling down
at the work I do for You. My gifts to You
might not be much, but You love them anyway.
