nothing is lost

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.

HEBREWS 11:1 (KJV)

Several times I have lost items that were really important to me. Once it was my purse. I knew I had left it at a park while I was with my friends. However, when we drove back, it was gone. I started getting upset because I had hoped to buy my brother’s birthday present with the money I had in it. We were also moving soon, and I had all of my friends’ school pictures in there. Because I didn’t have any identification in my purse, I didn’t think anyone would bring it back. After praying to God for hope, I received a call from the police who had found my mother’s Petco card inside my purse, which someone had found and turned in! Nothing was gone but a few dollars. God had answered my prayers. Another time when I was being careless, I dropped a ring my grandmother had given me for my birthday. It had been loose on my finger, and I didn’t feel it fall off. I was so upset. I retraced my steps several times, all the while praying to God to show me where it was. After an hour, my mother told me to take a break and look later. Because I felt that taking a break was giving up, I searched on. I tripped on a chair and landed right next to my ring. It was found! Thanking God, I ran in to show my mother. I couldn’t believe I had found it right there where I had walked a hundred times.

God, it’s so amazing how, when something
is really upsetting me, You bring me a little
miracle to make it better.
