simple faith

(part 1)

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’
and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

MATTHEW 17:20

For my age, I have done more traveling than most. Recently while in Nepal for two and a half months, with a group of eight people, we served in churches, hung out with orphans, worked in fields, and with construction. We taught English to Nepalis and ABCs to kids, and we were involved in evangelization everywhere we went. Nepal is the only official Hindu nation in the world, yet it has the fastest growing church in the world! While there I could see how desperate the people were for truth. The younger generation is so focused on study because they want to grow in knowledge and have a better life. So when you meet Nepali Christians, they are faith filled and they have a strong desire to grow in their faith and knowledge of Christ. One day I was sharing a message with a group of women and at the end, one lady asked for prayer. She wanted prayer for her sore throat and that she would be able to sleep peacefully. I was taken aback that she put so much faith in me to believe with her! I prayed with her that God would bring healing to her body and give her the rest she needed. What a joy to know that because she believed she knew immediately that God was at work in her life to answer our prayer prayed in faith.

God, please give me the faith to
completely believe that when I pray for help,
You will give it to me. I don’t want to doubt You.
