PSALM 116:1–2
Last September I heard that a local Christian conference center was looking for teen girls to provide one-day child care for a family conference. In order to be eligible you had to take a Red Cross babysitting class they provided free of charge. I had been wanting to take the Red Cross class, so I eagerly signed up. I was happy to take the course and get babysitting experience during the conference, but I really wanted families to babysit for regularly. I asked God to send me families I could babysit. Shortly after that, my cousin called and asked me to watch their six-month-old. Later, other friends asked me to sit with their children. Both of those families gave my name and number to their friends. Now I have a weekly sitting job with my cousin’s friends to take care of their two-year-old girl. Also, three families call me sporadically. Each family is a joy! God clearly answered my prayers. This taught me how God cares about the details and desires of my life and makes me want to give every situation to Him. “I love the Lord, for He heard my voice.”
