PSALM 119:105
During our nightly prayer gathering, my dad prayed, “Dear Father, help Yunjoo to make the right decision. Give her Your wisdom and help her desire what You want. Lead her into the way that You have prepared.” The most confusing time in my life was the summer of 2003. The previous winter, I had already made a radical choice to attend Dream School, an unaccredited Christian school in South Korea, giving up the chance to study in a prestigious school in the U.S. Although I pretended to be confident about my decision, I really felt insecure. At the end of the first semester, my entire class decided to study in Beijing for the next six months. When I heard about the dirty, crowded dorm, all my excitement and willingness to travel suddenly disappeared. Not going to China just because of the dorm sounded silly, but I felt strongly about not going. In the midst of chaos, Dad asked me if I wanted to study in the U.S. Within three days, I had enrolled in Houghton Academy in western New York. It was pretty chaotic, switching schools again and going to a different country. But as I look back, I realize that the places I stayed for even a short period were all necessary for shaping who I am right now. South Korea and New York were both places where I developed a true relationship with God. God is my lamp, and He continues to answer my father’s prayer that He would lead me into the places that He has prepared for me.

Father thank You for others who pray for me.
I want to pray for them, too, every day.
