PHILIPPIANS 4:13 (KJV)
One day my Mom and I were sitting in our living room talking when she boldly asked me if I had been having sex. I could not lie to her. The answer was yes. I will never forget the disappointment on her face. The next day, a home pregnancy test was positive and soon afterwards a doctor confirmed it. I was officially going to have a baby. I still thought of myself as a kid, but I was going to have a baby! My senior year of high school was upon me, and I had thought I was ready, but it ended up going a whole lot different than I imagined it would. I refused to allow my sin to stop me from finishing high school, and I decided not to abort or give away my baby. So I moved to a Christian ministry that helped me out. Months later, with God’s strength, I graduated from high school with honors, while I was still pregnant. I had my son and am now attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and raising my son with the help of my mom and the ministry. What I did was sinful, but my son is not. He will be one year old soon, and we are both doing well because people chose to care. They did not give up on us during any of it because they believed in a God who doesn’t give up on us either.

I know I’m going to make mistakes, Father, because I’m not
even close to perfect. But I am so thankful that You will
never give up on me and will always forgive me.
