PSALM 18:30, 32
Being a teenager is so hard sometimes. There are so many pressures to be perfect, or at least close to perfect. Your parents sometimes seem like they expect way more than you can handle; your teachers expect you to get loads of homework done; your friends expect you to be cool and to fit in. It gets to be a heavy load, and sometimes you just feel like screaming. Not only this, but also your physical body is going through enormous changes. No wonder sometimes you feel like a big mangled mess inside! The best thing you can do for yourself is to set some reasonable goals, like: “By the end of this school quarter I would like to finish with at least Bs” or “By the end of this month I would like to put away at least $5 for savings.” Just simple things that are doable and will encourage you. And always ask God to help you with these small goals. The more you ask for His help, even on small everyday things, the less stressful things will be. You can’t be perfect, but He is. And with His help, you can get closer to perfect than you ever would on your own.

I know that I’m not perfect. But I still
have a hard time letting You help me out, Lord.
Help me to look to You for help all the time. Amen.
