MATTHEW 4:6
This verse from the book of Matthew has been with me ever since I returned from my mission trip to Auxier, Kentucky. While there, I’m sure I had at least twenty guardian angels all around me; I had one around me when I fell from the roof of the house we were demolishing, and another when I dropped a sledgehammer on my foot! I definitely had one watching over me when one of my colleagues dropped a twenty-pound sledgehammer that landed an inch from my shoulder! When I returned home, I realized just how many angels God had placed to guard me. Angels are God’s messengers and our protectors. In everyday life, angels guard us. If you are driving down the road in a thunderstorm, you can know that the Lord Almighty has placed a pair of angels around your car to guide you home. Angels will surround us in our greatest hour of need and are our protection until God decides it is time for us to come home.
