LAMENTATIONS 3:22
I first heard about someone having a life verse through a friend of the family. Her son is named John, and his birthday is March 16, therefore, his life verse is John 3:16. When John told me about his special birthday verse, that made me want to grab the Bible and find out which verse I could use to guide my life. To get a life verse, take the month of your birth and put it as the chapter. Then, use the day you were born as the verse. If your name happens to be a book of the Bible, a character, or an author, I would start looking in that book first. Sometimes it depends on the certain point you are in in your life that decides which one you choose as your life verse. I once found all the best applicable verses for my youth group members and gave a copy of the verses to each of them for their birthdays. For me, it was a gift that kept on giving. My verse gives me faith and reassurance. I have often found myself concerned over the fact that I can’t see where my life is heading. I suppose that is when you realize that you have got to have faith. Faith is just that, not knowing what lies ahead but trusting God to see you through it anyway.
