what God sees

The kings daughter is all glorious within.

PSALM 45:13 (KJV)

We all want to be beautiful, and I think that we were born with that desire. We all want to excel and to be the best, prettiest, and most wanted. And it is so easy to let those desires take over our lives. When we look in the mirror, we look to see if we look good enough, and if we don’t, we’ll pretty much change or do whatever is necessary until we reach our supposed state of perfection. However, I have been realizing that living simply to please my mirror is such an empty way to spend all my life! The world esteems beauty as the most important thing, but that kind of perfect beauty can never be reached. Even popular, rich actresses and supermodels are not happy with their lives and bodies. The Bible offers an alternative because God sees beauty in the good things we do. Through the Creator’s eyes, what we call “beauty” is worthless because God looks through a different set of lenses than we do. When we are willing to look through His lenses, we’ll find beauty in ourselves in a different way.
