I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

HEBREWS 13:5 (KJV)

I wanted to try something new for my junior year of high school, so my parents and I decided that I would be homeschooled. I started going to a tutorial every Monday. At first I hated it because everybody already knew everyone else in the group and I didn’t, so I had no friends there, which is a big deal for a teenager. There was one girl, Emily, who would always say hi, and she would give me a hug every week. There was just something amazing about her, like when her friends were having a bad day, she could tell, and she would try to cheer you up. One night I found out that Emily was in a car accident, and she had been killed. I was completely shocked. After a lot of crying and praying, I realized that she had lived her life to the fullest and is in heaven now. God was there for me, as well as all of Emily’s friends, and He helped me, and them, to be stronger and to look to Him during that hard time. He helped me realize that I want to live my life to the fullest and not take life for granted. Have you made a decision to follow Christ and to live your life to the fullest? We never know when God will call us home, but we can leave a powerful lifestyle behind that might make a difference in the lives of some of our friends.

Lord, when I leave this earth,
I want to be able to say that I lived for You every day. Help
me to really do that.
