ISAIAH 49:15–16
Divorce feels like total rejection and complete abandonment. Feeling that kind of pain makes it hard to open up to people. It seems like no one is trustworthy and that everyone is going to ditch you. My friend’s parents just got divorced, and she’s been confused because she can’t find a logical explanation for why it happened. She blamed herself for her parents’ breakup. One day I just told her bluntly that it was NOT her fault at all! That she is not the problem. It’s hard to believe because the answer to the “Why did this happen?” question is still hidden. But in the midst of this question, my friend is starting to turn to God. He knows all about everything that happens in our lives. Even though He might not reveal in black and white to my friend why her parents are divorced, just praying to Him is comforting to her. My friend has reminded me of something so important. God has all the answers, and when we turn to Him, He does what is good. He will NEVER EVER forsake us.

When I can understand something,
that’s when I need to turn to You the most.
I don’t have all the answers, but I know that You do.
