lies vs. truth

Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe

PROVERBS 29:25

I have tender emotions that make me very vulnerable to Satan’s lies. He tells me things like “You don’t look pretty” or “Your friends don’t really like or care about you.” I think these are lies that most girls face, but it’s so hard to see that they are not true. So what do we overcome them? First of all, tell the devil that he is liar and that you will not believe him anymore. Secondly, pray and read your Bible, because God will refresh you in the water of His Word (Ephesians 5:26). You can find strength and reassurance in every single book, even the ones you wouldn’t expect. Like, when I read the Song of Solomon, it reminds me that I am the bride of Christ. God wants us to go to Him for fulfillment. He knows what our troubles are even before we tell Him, and He knows the lies that we can’t seem to stop believing. And He is always waiting to have compassion on us and is eager to tell us the truth.

The world is full of lies,
Lord, and they are so easy to believe.
But I want to believe Your truth.
