PSALM 36:5 (KJV)
A few days ago, I was thinking about when the World Trade Center towers fell in New York City on September 11, 2001.1 remember thinking that is was really strange that all the people suddenly put up signs in their yard saying “God Bless the USA.” I mean, they should have those signs up all the time, but we usually don’t appreciate what we have until something terrible happens. It seems like we do the same thing with God, only remembering Him when we are faced with trials or when something bad happens. Then, when we are all fine and dandy, we just forget about Him altogether. God loves us so much, and he wants us to remember Him through all times. Psalm 36:5 tells us that God’s love is neverending, and his faithfulness to help us in times of trouble is unfailing. We may forget about Him, but He never forgets about us.

Lord, it seems like I only turn to You when
I have a really big problem. I pray that You will be
a part of my life every day, and not just when I’m in trouble.
