Many people resist the idea of continuous learning. They think it means going back to college or even starting college at mid-life. Although that’s not necessarily a bad idea, that’s not solely what “lifelong learning” means. Information is power, and those who have a wealth of information have a great advantage over those who don’t. What are some excellent ways to acquire knowledge and get ahead of the game?
Make television time learning time: The average person watches six hours of TV a day—that’s the average. My mentor W. Clement Stone once asked me to eliminate one hour of television a day to create an extra 365 hours per year to accomplish whatever is most important to me. That’s over two months of additional time per year to focus on my goals. I’m asking you to do the same.
Now that we’ve found an extra two months to use for learning, we’re going to discover ways to fill that time with educational and informational benefits that move you faster toward your goals.
