Each course prepared,

as though by special thrift,

then underground set loose

with pilot seed asleep,

small craft going quietly adrift.

 

Time spared us provenance,

from eternity mysterious,

to loll for moments

in a bliss we’d find

soon sorrowful but quite delirious.
