Something we both have in common is the love for travelling. We loved it; exploring and taking the road less traveled, which was no exception. Look up the destination, pack a bag, and off we go. We jumped on the train and went to Wenchang, took a taxi to Moon Bay. The taxi dropped us off in front of a prospective real-estate sales company. We walked through the lobby and could hear our voices echo through the entrance. We walked through and down the terrace to the beach. It was quite a walk up and down the different staircases, and eventually, we saw the beach.
We walked along the beach looking for a suitable place to sit, and we sat down. We looked at the beach, and all we saw was flying rubbish. We saw a plastic deck chair in the distance, and we sat there talking about our plans for creating our company here in Hainan.
Before I knew it, you got up and started collecting the trash on the sand, it wasn’t ten minutes, and some local people joined you and picked up as much as they could carry. We always had reusable bags with us, so you came and got some and filled them up with the people in the distance. I was in awe of your determination for environmental protection.
You connected on WeChat with them. The rest became the “how” of how we started the company and the vision.
Travelling back home was an exciting situation. The sun was setting fast, and there were no Didi’s or taxis in the area, so we began to walk, fully knowing it was at least thirty five to forty kilometers from the train station, but somehow, we would get back home.
There was a tricycle passing that I waved down, and we asked the people to please take us as far as they could, they suggested we stay over in their house until the morning, but Mrs. Furry was back home, we had to go back. After some negotiation and an exuberant amount, they took us to their home, we got in their car, and they took us to the train station. It was worth every cent!
Our guardian angels looked out for us that day to ensure we got home before sunrise.
