Sphere
Cylinder
Cone
Use your Tuff Stuff eraser to crisp up any edges and remove any overblending.
Look at the rough sketch and the finished illustration of the rhino. Identify the basic shapes as they relate to anatomy. The cone shapes appear in the horns and ears. The sphere is in the head, nose and jaw. The cylinder is in the overall face shape and neck. Identifying these basic shapes before you begin to draw will help you be more accurate in your work. In the finished piece, you can also see how the Hammond Blended Pencil Technique creates realism in the drawing.
