Leon’s mad, and I know why, Terry thought.
His boss, hard-charging Leon Woodward, just back from Europe, was a glib road warrior. It earned him a big house, trophy wife, and a vice presidency. He never told people to “get out and sell” if he wasn’t out there himself. His busy schedule yielded profits.
Terry didn’t like traveling. He stuck around the office. It had benefits. But if he was any judge of Leon, those benefits—and his job—were coming to an end. Terry would no longer be keeping the compliant Mrs. Woodward company while her husband was away.
