Donner Freight Lines

Alex’s car skidded on slippery pavement and he slid 100 feet down a snowy embankment.  A few minutes later he heard the sound of a semi, then felt the thud as the truck and trailer dove down the hill next to him.

“You hurt?” Alex shouted over to the driver.

“Nope.”

“Do you have a cell phone or radio?”

“Nope. Radio’s busted.”

“We’re miles off the main road. Even if the blizzard quits, we could be here for a week.  We could starve.”

“No sweat. See what’s in my trailer? Can goods. Vegetables, soup, the works.”

“Got a can opener?”
