Wolf Trap, as it is known to Washington, D.C., locals, is actually officially known as the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. This 130-acre haven for the arts ensures that the arts remain accessible and affordable to the broadest possible audience.

A typical season at Wolf Trap includes something for everyone with performances ranging from pop, country, folk, and blues to orchestra, dance, theatre, and opera, as well as innovative performance art and multimedia presentations. Outdoor performances are held in the Filene Center from May through September and at the Barns at Wolf Trap year-round.

While food for purchase is an option at Wolf Trap, guests are permitted to bring their own picnic baskets to enjoy during any of a hundred or so performances held each summer.
