A crispy coating mix is the secret ingredient that dresses up burgers that you bake in the oven instead of grill or fry. For the best flavor, I use a sweet and spicy steak sauce.

1/4 cup steak sauce
2 Tbsp. plus 1/3 cup seasoned coating mix, divided
1 lb. ground beef
4 hamburger buns, split
4 lettuce leaves
1. Preheat the oven to 350°. In a bowl, combine the steak sauce and 2 Tbsp. of the coating mix. Crumble beef over the sauce mixture and mix well. Shape into four 31/2-in. patties. Dip both sides of the patties in the remaining coating. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
2. Bake until a thermometer reads 160°, about 20 minutes, turning once. Serve on buns with lettuce.
