Cleo's Crib.
The sun gleamed down upon us like jewels in the sun. It was later in the afternoon but the heat was oven hot. Me and my cousin Adamma, who was 3 years younger than me, was on the porch eating some Popsicles to help us stay cool.
"Take that!" Messiah yelled as his friend knocked Adamma's red Popsicle out of her hand. I pushed my younger cousin aside and spazzed. Not the hood rat version though, the educated version. I pushed my glasses up and put my hands on my small hips. With a sprinkle of attitude I said, “You hoodlums! Why are y'all coming down here starting with us huh? You just need to go back down the street to where y'all came! Especially you Messiah! From what I heard, you're one more F away from repeating the eighth grade!"
His friends laughed. One of his friends were motioning their hand towards me then said "Get her!"
“Girl if you don't get your musty, crusty, dusty self on somewhere. Yo I'm so lonely self on somewhere. And hoodlum? You the hoodlum. Look at yo hair girl!” Messiah said pointing to my kinky, curly hair that was put into a ballerina bun.
I rolled my eyes and said, ''And what's wrong with my hair?'' I asked. He didn't say nothing. “Yeah that’s what I thought! I got more hair than your mamma and your sister together.”
"Don't talk about my family like that!" Messiah yelled.
"I can talk to anybody any way I want. Who gonna stop me huh?" I said.
I stepped in his face. We were nose to nose, eye to eye when his brother said something.
"Come on bro, she ain't even worth it." Bennie said.

Present Day
I screen shot it and posted it on my Instagram page with the caption:
@Messiah_World Awwww thank you so much Messiah for the s/o. You really just made my whole day! And yeah boii I miss you- my lil dookie head lol. We have some serious catching up to do.... can you say GLOWED UP my nigga! Lol <3
I got out my queen sized bed and twerked to the bathroom of my two bedroom condo. It was so quiet since my Double O-Triple OG wasn't here. I hate to admit but I felt kind of lonely. Lord knows my nigga hasn’t been out my sight for more than five seconds since we met. I ran the shower while I sang a verse from K Michelle’s Can’t Raise A Raise A Man. Slipping from my XL black shirt that hung to my knees and removed my satin scarf from my head so I could put on my shower cap.

I heard a bang at my front door. I hurried up and wrapped a towel around my wet body and ran to see who was banging on my door like the police.
“Who the he-,”
“Girl, open the door before I melt out ch'ea!” Kandice screamed from behind the thick wooden door. I quickly snatched it open and began to walk towards the television room. Kandice jumped on my back while yelling in my ear.
“Happy 21st birthday Cleo!”
We both fell on to the freshly mopped floor and my towel came off. “Ew! Girl cover your goodies!” She yelled before smacking my booty. We both laughed as I wrapped my towel back on my body and got off the floor.
“Thank you Kandice.” I said.
“Girl hurry up and get dressed so we can go!” She screamed scooting me into my room.
“What time is it?” I asked going in my closet.
“12:56!” Kandice screamed.
“Okay calm your tits!” I said whacking her in the gut.
Wearing my green and black crop top with matching sweats/Harlem pants, my black, green and white Glow In The Night Nike Air Jordan VI 6 Retros, I topped everything off with some of my Ruby Red Lipstick and 18k gold plate filigree and matching earrings set that had a “C” on them.
It's now 1:34PM and we are heading out the door. Today is such a beautiful day. There were sunny skies, 75 degrees and a zero percent chance of rain. Today should be a good day. Kandice bumped my most favorite song by The Weekend, Rolling Stone.
Ooh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Now you thinkin’ about it
Girl, you thinkin’ about it
What we got here
How we f***ing got here
They recognize
They just recognize
I’m in a life without a home
So this recognition's not enough
And I don’t care about nobody else
Cus I been on these streets for too long (too long)
Baby, I’ve been on this for too long
Getting faded too long
Got me on this rolling stone
So I take another hit
Kill another serotonin
With a hand full of beans
And a chest full of weed
Got me singin’ about a b****
While I’m blowing out my steam
I continued to sing my heart out as the song played on. Kandice was just laughing her but off. As the song begin to end we pulled up into the mall. “Com'on, let's get an outfit. My treat.” Kandice said jumping out of the car and locking the doors. We walked into the mall and people I knew came rushing up to me saying happy birthday. They were asking me what I was doing for the night. Kandice was shifting from foot to foot getting anxious. She told me to go look in Forever 21 and see what she saw.
Kandice
I told Cleo to go look and see if she sees anything that catches her eye in Forever 21 but that was only a cover up. “Nip-Nip and Nicki come to the expo tonight for Cleo's 21st birthday bash I am throwing. It's going to be hype. It starts at 9PM and ends at 2AM. Come turn up with us. And, I have a special guest coming.” I said smiling.
“Oh, this is the big bash everybody is talking about?” Nip-Nip said as she smiled. Her deep dimples complimented her caramel complexion. “Y'all will have to see for y'all selves.” I said smiling. “Oh most def! We gon' be there!” Nip Nip screamed. I gave them a flyer, we said our goodbyes until later and they walked away. I texted Cleo and asked what store she was in. She replied and said she was in the Gucci store.

Cleopatra
I saw Kandice walk into Gucci and come over to where I was.
“What color should I wear?” I asked.
“Your favorite color.” Kandice said looking at this banging dress. "OHMYGOSH!! Yes!!" I said as I started dancing.
The cashier rung up the dress. “$900.24.” The cashier said nonchalantly. I looked at Kandice unsure if she was going to spend this much money, even if it was my birthday. “It's okay Cleo, it's your birthday. I told you I got chu!” She said pulling out a wad of money. She laid nine 100 dollar bills and 25 cents on the counter. “Keep the change hun and buy you a new hair piece.” Kandice said sarcastically while pointing to some of the cashier's loose tracks. We burst out laughing as I grabbed my dress and we walked out.
We went to go get our nails and hair done. Then we went to Kandice's apartment to get her makeup kit. By the time we made it to my house it was 7:22PM. We had to rush to get ready.
