What makes YOU happy?
It’s time to get clear.
Declare it to the world or just your journal. However you express it – get clear. Knowing what makes you happy could be the difference between living a life of ‘meh’ and ‘hell yeah!’. And I think we all want ‘hell yeah!’. So own it. Sit down, light a candle, make a cuppa or pour a glass of wine and put pen to paper.
What makes you happy?
The next step is to clear space in your calendar to do these things. Don’t wait for the right time. Pick three of those things to do this week, another three the week after (some might be repeated) and then the same for the following two weeks. And before you know it, you have a month of joy planned. Make them non-negotiables.
Here are some of mine.
A beer with my mate Macca who gives me the biggest belly laughs of all.
Curling up on the couch on a rainy day with a good book.
Catch-ups with the girls.
Yoga class.
Nature hangs.
Spending time with my partner.
Adventures with my mum (even if it’s just a coastal walk, or as far as trekking in Peru).
Spending time on my own, to recharge.
Writing.
Going to the movies and eating popcorn.
Listening to ‘KK’s Faves’ playlist (a selection of my current favourite songs on Spotify).
Making soup.
