Many of the core practices in this book have been known in different cultures for centuries. We didn’t make up this stuff or even discover it, but we’re glad to be able to help people get back to it. Walking in nature, having quiet time, moving the body, eating what grows near us, being an active part of a community—this is ageless wisdom. We want to acknowledge and thank ancient medicine for its common-sense brilliance and offer a nod to modern science for rekindling respect for the simple intuitive practices of healthy aging.
