Linda LeGarde Grover is professor emerita of American Indian studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth and a member of the Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe. She is the author of Onigamiising: Seasons of an Ojibwe Year and Gichigami Hearts: Stories and Histories from Misaabekong and the novels The Road Back to Sweetgrass and In the Night of Memory, all published by the University of Minnesota Press. Her short fiction collection The Dance Boots received the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction and the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize.
