Day 48:  Watch out for Satan’s Fireship!

Fireship—a ship loaded with flammable materials and explosives and sailed into an enemy port or fleet either already burning or ready to be set alight by its crew, in order to collide with and set fire to enemy ships.

As we all know, it’s not always smooth sailing in life. Many dangers and storms cross our path. In addition, Satan is always lurking around, just waiting to attack our vulnerable side.

The closer we are to God, the more Satan will attack us. He will fire all he has at us during our weakest moments. He will send in his fireships! To be prepared for all attacks, we must keep in the Word and trust in God’s faithfulness. He will never let us down; it is so important to remember this point.

The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14 NIV).

The Lord will help us fight our battles with Satan. Through each battle, God makes us stronger. That way, we can stand up to anything Satan sends our way.

The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace (Psalm 29:11NIV).

When we are weak, God gives us the strength we need. And remember, if Satan is attacking you, you must be doing the will of God. We make Satan nervous when we live a godly life, so he tries to stop us by sending us temptations. At times, we may feel tempted, but God promises He will always give us a way out.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it (1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV).

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast (Psalm 139:9–10 NIV).

No matter how bad things get, God promises to guide us to safety.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20 NIV).

No matter how many times Satan comes up against us, we have the promise that God will be with us. We will always be out of reach of Satan’s deadly attacks. His ship will not be able to collide with ours, for we sail with the Lord!
