6 entrée servings (about ⅔ cup each)
3 cups water
Pinch salt
1½ cups each: quick-cooking oats, cooked wheat berries
¼ cup chopped toasted pecans or walnuts
½ cup dried fruit bits or raisins
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
1 cup fat-free milk
1. Heat water and salt to boiling in medium saucepan; stir in oats, wheat berries, pecans, and dried fruit. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, to desired consistency, about 5 minutes. Serve with brown sugar and milk.
