Select Annotated Bibliography on Luke
THE FOLLOWING IS A SELECT BIBLIOGRAPHY for Luke. It contains mostly commentaries and major Lucan monograph studies. Not all the works noted here are cited in the commentary. Of the commentaries, the most helpful for technical studies in English are those by Marshall, Nolland, and Fitzmyer. For a quicker reference, the commentaries by Tiede, C. A. Evans, Danker, Stein, and L. T. Johnson are helpful. (I will not comment on my own works and where they fit. For those, see the preface.) For major biblical theological themes in Luke, the key English studies are those of Marshall, Franklin, O’Toole, and Tannehill, and the article in Zuck-Bock.
