Other eBook Platforms

This book deals with publishing on Amazon only.  However, it is worth knowing that there are other platforms where you can publish your eBooks (we mentioned some earlier when discussing Permafree).  The thing is, we are using KDP Select on Amazon to offer our books on a 5-day free promo, and while the book is enrolled in KDP Select, you CANNOT publish it in any other digital format.  The initial KDP enrollment lasts for 90 days and means you are exclusive to Amazon KDP for those 90 days.

Amazon has it set up so that your books will automatically be re-enrolled once a 90-day period is up, so if you want to cancel KDP enrollment, remember to go in and change the setting manually before the 90-day period is up.

Once you are no longer enrolled in KDP Select, you are free to publish your books on any other platforms you like.

2.      Kobo

3.      Barnes & Noble

4.      Scribd

5.     PublishDrive (Aggregator, distributing books to major retailers)

6.     Smashwords (a store in its own right, but also offers global eBook distribution to major retailers and public libraries).

7.      Draft2Digital (a distributor of your books).
