The Costume Box

Wherever you stash away your treasures, create a costume box and keep adding pieces to it. Clothing and accessories create an erotic mood. They project an aura that we step into—and become sexy characters.

Some suggestions:

• Vintage clothing store finds, such as old silk slips, patterned shawls, elbow-length gloves, Long strings of fake pearls

• Cheerleader skirts, kneesocks, pom-poms

• Letter jackets or sweaters

• Wigs and hats

• Garter belts and stockings, including patterned and mesh

• Leftover bits of Halloween costumes, such as a nurse’s or maid’s cap

• Feathered or sequined masks

• Old silk or velvet dressing gowns and robes

• Riding boots

• Props, from librarian glasses to cigarette holders—anything that sets a particular mood

• Old furs, including collars from discarded coats
