Image DAY 188: SEX ED SATURDAY
Advanced Chinese Sex #1: The Tiger in the Forest Position

The authors of the Pillow Books continually reminded the male reader that women need more time in foreplay to become aroused than men do. Generally, the men took the lead in sex (and in reading, as fewer women were taught how to read). They did not move on to intercourse until they had sufficiently aroused their lovers. Only when a man had successfully courted the Jade Step (the clitoris) could he move into the Jade Pavilion (the vagina).

The Tiger in the Forest Position is a variation on rear entry designed to slow down the man’s vigorous thrusting, giving the woman more time to reach orgasm.

1. She gets down on all fours on the bed, but slides her knees so that her ass is not highly elevated in the air.

2. He kneels behind her, straddles her lower legs, and fits his knees one on either side of her body.

3. His body remains upright, his hands on her ass. She has free hands to stimulate her clitoris and nipples.
