Image DAY 300: SEX ED SATURDAY
Dance Lessons #2:
Belly Dancing

Belly dancing has its roots in India, Iran, and Africa, where it grew out of moves that women made to ease the pain of childbirth. (Yes, really.) Napoleon discovered belly dancers when he invaded Egypt in 1798. In Philadelphia, a dancer named Little Egypt stole the show at the 1876 centennial celebration. Today, the Latin pop star Shakira has made the dance her own and singer/dancers including Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and Beyoncé incorporate the moves into their routines.

Isn’t it time you shook a little hips and belly for your man?

• Watch a video together. Is it arousing for both of you?

• Take a class or learn from instructional DVDs.

• Surprise him with a seductive dance when you have mastered the basics.

• Incorporate some of the moves into sex; for example, work that belly in the female superior position.
