Hercules, a Roman god/man, posed as a female slave of Queen Lydia, who married him after he was exposed as a man. And who can forget Dustin Hoffman dressing as Dorothy in the movie Tootsie?

On the other side, Saint Margaret and Saint Joan of Arc disguised themselves as men in their pursuit of religious vocation. Diane Keaton in Annie Hall turned menswear into the hot trend in women’s wear. What about Tilda Swinton going from male to female throughout time in Orlando?

Some suggestions:

• Go to the mall with him wearing her panties under his clothes and her in his jeans and a tight top or his shirt and tight jeans or leggings.

• Plan a night out with her in menswear.

• Dress him like a rocker from the androgynous ‘70s, and don’t forget the makeup.

• Shave or wax his chest, legs, and pubic hair, and put him in silk PJs.
