Happy Valentine’s Day, Windsongers! And what a happy day it is. Our Marry Matchmaker has struck matrimonial gold once again. Dr. Kennedy Owens’ best friend, Andrew Walker, is engaged! As you might remember, Andrew and Hunter Owens switched best man suits at Kennedy’s wedding in December. Two days later, on his drive back to Los Angeles, Andrew pulled over with a flat tire and who should stop to help? Mr. Aiden Cane. Yes, that Aiden Cane. Star of the wildly popular HGTV show This Is How We Build It. According to Andrew, it was love at first sight, and last weekend Aiden proposed! Congratulations to the happy couple!

In other romantic news, Hunter Owens got down on one knee yesterday to do his own proposing, asking his fiancée to marry him! Callie Carmichael’s “Marry Me” proposal took everyone by surprise—especially Hunter—and he had something special up his sleeve to return the favor. Something sparkly and worn on the ring finger of the left hand accompanied this proposal, and word through the grapevine is the two are holed up in some sort of love nest near Big Sur. This means that Birdy Friedel wins the coveted prize for picking Friday the 13th for Hunter to pop the question. To any naysayers out there, we’re putting this one in the win column now that Hunter has put a ring on it.

Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without mention of local business, Callie Designs’ lucrative mentorship with Vera Wang. It seems Ms. Wang believes in magic and our very own dressmaker Callie Carmichael’s talent to go along with it. I see a Vera wedding gown in Callie’s future. And a charmed maid of honor dress for Nova Owens.

Finally, the rumor mill is abuzz with horseback-riding lessons taking place at The Owens Inn and Guest Ranch. It’s been reported that a red-haired woman has been seen joining in on Hunter Owens’ private lessons and sharing the history of the ranch, including talk of buried treasure. “Who doesn’t love a treasure hunt?” Ambassador Owens asked, and an influx of visitors to our small town are here to prove they do.
