CONCLUSION

“The world needs you more.” The final words of the manuscript danced off my fingertips and landed on the laptop keys, shoring up the last line of the Water archetype haiku. A sweet, satisfied smile emerged behind my eyes, resonating from that mysterious point deep within my heart where dreams intersect with reality. I sat back in my chair to savor the moment, clicked save one final time, and signed off with a humble spirit.

I closed my laptop and, with an audible exhalation, pushed back from my dining room table. I was content. I felt hope for the healing I believed would happen as a result of this book being launched out into the world. As had become my routine over my months of writing, I then made my way over to the green high-back chair in the living room and settled in for twenty minutes of meditation. When I closed my eyes, I conjured a bright image of a life lived in concert with the wisdom of the Five Archetypes. The image took the form of a young child, probably nine or ten years old. The child stood bright-eyed and tall and exuded a pure openness to exploring and transforming all the world’s struggles into fodder for personal and communal growing and evolving.

There was a broad square window, and the child pushed it open wide with a heave and then stood there. Beyond the window was a field, vast and blanketed with vibrant green grasses and royal purple lavender. The earth warmly welcomed the child’s gaze with the promise of bountiful sustenance for the adventure ahead. The child stood relishing the magic of the stillness and taking in the vision of the ripe land.

The earth beckoned. The child stepped through the window and out into the field. With each footstep, the child received nourishment from the natural surroundings, integrated the sustenance, and shared it back through sparkles that leapt around smiling eyes and a thankful soul. Up ahead, the land met the sky at a horizon bursting with purples, pinks, oranges, and reds. The sun was setting on another day. The child was hopeful and strong and expectant for the surprises and delights that awaited tomorrow and all tomorrows to come.

I realized that, in a way, this image was saying, “Never stop exploring.” The magical unfolding of the multilayered texture of your life provides endless opportunities to observe, learn, and expand because the context of each and every ripening moment will serve as your perpetual classroom if you allow it to.

The rubric of the Five Archetypes is your abacus. Plug in the data of your nature, your environment, and your dreams in anticipation of the wonderment the world is about to reveal. Then go ahead and grow, my friend. My primary Fire is elated by what you’re about to discover.

With deep, delicious, dancing love,
