Chapter Twelve

“Then you and he will stay on my compound.  Back behind the main house is a smaller house that was used for my grandmother when she was alive.  It's yours to use.” Beast states as if he just made me a millionaire.

I stare at him; this gigantic man just met me.  

“Yeah, that way we can still be close and I can keep the townspeople at bay.  We can go on with our lives like we discussed when we were younger.” Belle claps her and jumps up and down.

“Let me see what happens first.  I don't want to make Beastly over there angry, but I have to make sure all of this is ok with Sebastian.  We are a team now. I should get back to town, but I have something to tell you Belle.  Your dad, he passed away a couple days ago.  He thought that you were being held against your will. He insisted that the servants here where objects that talked.  He told me to tell you that he loves you and always will,” I hear a sob leave Belle and watch as beast scoops her in his arms and turns to leave, but not before he states.

“Gaston, my offer stands.  You and your man are safe here.  Come back when you’re ready.  I never kept her here against her will. I fell in love with her sass and when I told her I love her she decided to stay. My staff is all human; they were standing behind Belle’s dad when he was looking at my grandmother’s teapot and cup collection.”  Then Beast turns and guides Belle out of the room.

I stare at the place that they just left.  I have watched the two of them interact for the last few days.  I seriously think her dad just didn’t want to lose his little girl.

Her heart broken face as I told her that her dad had passed on, made me think of my own parents.

I don’t know how my parents are going to react to their son being, but I am going to tell them and accept what they say.

I hope that they are as accepting as they were when my sister came out as a lesbian.
