A giant coffee pot welcomes visitors to Bedford, Pennsylvania.
This two-story, pot-shaped building is a celebrated example of novelty architecture. It was originally built in 1927 as a roadside café, serving ice cream, sandwiches, and, of course, coffee to customers of a gas station. It has been remodeled since then, and moved to a clearing on the Bedford County fairgrounds, where it remains a happy sight for passersby.
If it were a real coffee pot, it could hold 819,000 cups of coffee!
