Michael D. Cicchini is a Wisconsin criminal defense attorney. He practices in Kenosha, about two hours south of Manitowoc.
Cicchini has obtained dismissals and jury trial acquittals in dozens of cases including conspiracy to commit murder, robbery by force, sexual assault, substantial battery, child abuse, and other serious felonies. He was named a “top young lawyer” in Wisconsin by Super Lawyers and Milwaukee magazines from 2006 through 2010, and a “top 100 trial lawyer” in Wisconsin by the American Trials Lawyers Association (now the National Trial Lawyers) in 2009. He has also been named a “top criminal defense lawyer” in Wisconsin by other organizations.
In addition to practicing criminal defense, Cicchini also writes extensively on legal matters. His output includes two other books, eighteen law review articles, a monthly column at the Wisconsin Law Journal, and several guest posts at the Marquette University Law School Faculty Blog. He also writes at The Legal Watchdog blog, which he founded in 2010.
Cicchini earned his JD, summa cum laude and first in his class, from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee. Before law school he earned his MBA degree and CPA certificate and worked in the corporate world.
