Chapter 25

Sarah

“City roads, take me home to the place I belong. New York City, I love you,” I sang and Harry just glared at me. “Why are you glaring at me?” I said with a little pout.

“Because you totally messed up that song.”

“How did I mess up that song?”

“New York City? Doesn’t he say West Virginia in the song?”

“I don’t know. I’m just happy.” I laughed. “Plus, I said city roads and not country roads.”

“You’re more than happy, Sarah, you’re drunk.” He shook his head as we walked down the street.

“I’m not drunk,” I hiccuped. “Well, maybe a little bit.” I grabbed his hand. “Are you mad at me?”

“I’m not mad at you, but I told you not to get drunk tonight.”

“It’s not like I messed up, the deal seems like it’s going to go through. Mr. Wagner loved me.”

“Yeah. Mr. Wagner and his son both loved you,” Harry said with a small smile. “I’m starting to wonder if you weren’t flirting with them both.”

“Of course I wasn’t flirting with them both, Harry. And who cares if I was? Do you care?”

“What do you think, Sarah?”

“I don’t know,” I said, and then hiccuped again. “Your dad seemed really happy though. I think he wants to hire me.”

“I’m sure my dad would love to hire you, but could you imagine what your parents would say?” Harry laughed.

“Oh my gosh, my parents would kill me. I could just imagine. Hey Mom, Dad. No, I don’t want to take over your company, but I’m working for the Huntington’s instead, yay!”

“Oh, that would be so funny,” Harry said. “Okay, so I’m going to take you home?”

“Yeah. You’re going to take me home and you’re going to stay the night, right?”

“I don’t know if that’s such a good idea, Sarah.” He shook his head.

“What do you mean?” I pouted. “You said you were going to stay over.”

“Yeah. I want to stay over but...”

“But what?”

“But you’re very inebriated, and I don’t want anything to happen tonight that you’re not one-hundred-percent comfortable with.”

“Oh my gosh, Harry, really? I’m comfortable with it all,” I said and stopped dead in the street.

“Sarah, what are you doing?” He looked at me with a confused expression. I could see his eyes looking around to make sure no one was watching us.

“Harry, look at me right now,” I said and pulled him toward me.

“Sarah, do we have to do this in the middle of the street?”

“We’re not moving until you look at me and listen to me, okay?”

“Okay.” He looked down at me and his hand fell to my cheek and brushed it softly.

“What are you doing?” I said breathlessly. The touch of him making me soar.

“I was just brushing a loose hair away from your cheek. Why?”

“I don’t know. I’ve got butterflies in my stomach,” I said, and I laughed. “Oh my gosh, can you believe I have butterflies in my stomach because of you, Harry Parker Huntington.”

“Well, I’m happy it’s because of me and not because of someone else,” he said with a slight twitch of the lips. “Or don’t tell me you had butterflies with Severin as well?”

“I am not interested in Severin Wagner, even though I may or may not go to visit him in Munich and enjoy copious amounts of beer at Oktoberfest.”

“There’s no way in hell you’re going to spend any time with Severin in Munich at Oktoberfest, you hear me?” He said, his eyes narrowing. “No way in hell.”

“Well, are you going to take me then?” I said and put my hands on my hips.

“Do you want me to take you?”

“Oh, I want you to take me in all the ways Harry,” I said with a small smile and his eyes widened. I couldn’t stop myself from giggling then. “Oh, you should see the expression on your face, Harry.”

“You’re a cocktease. You know that, right, Sarah? You are a cocktease with a capital C and a capital T.”

“Maybe I like being one,” I said with a small smile. I stood on my tippy-toes and then kissed him hard. His hands wrapped around my waist and I felt them on my ass, pulling me into him even more. I reached up and put my fingers through his hair, loving the feel and touch of him. His body felt so warm next to mine. “Oh, you feel amazing,” I said as I opened my eyes and looked into his. I pulled back slowly. He looked slightly dazed. “What, did I take the words out of your mouth?”

“Um, I don’t know how to answer that,” he said with a grin and ran his hands through his hair. “You’re driving me absolutely crazy. You know that right, Sarah?”

“What do you mean I’m driving you absolutely crazy?” I said, teasing him, loving the fact that he looked like he’d been hit by a truck.

“I mean that I don’t recognize who you are right now,” he said. “You’re like this sexual outgoing being and I’m kind of wondering what happened to my shy, innocent best friend.”

“Oh, your shy, innocent best friend’s still here, but she wants to get laid now.”

“Sarah, you cannot say things like that in public.”

“Would you rather I say them in the privacy of the bedroom?” I said with a wink.

“You’re just a little minx, aren’t you?”

“I’m not a minx, I’m just being straightforward and up front what I want, and you can either like it or lump it, but I’ve been a wallflower half my life. Actually, I’ve been a wallflower my entire life and I’m not going to be a wallflower anymore. And if you don’t like it, then you can piss off Harry, because I know what I want. And I want you and you either want me too, or you don’t.”

“Sarah, you know I want you very, very much. I’m hard as hell right now.”

“So then let’s go back to my place and let’s have some fun.”

“I’m not going to sleep with you tonight, Sarah.”

“I’m not saying you have to sleep with me, but you can go down on me again,” I said with a wicked smile.

“Ah, so you want me to go down on you again, do you?”

“Well, I wouldn’t say no,” I grinned. “And maybe…”

“Maybe what?”

“Maybe I’ll go down on you as well.”

“What?” He made a muffled sound in his throat and I had no idea exactly what he was saying. “Come on, let’s go,” he said with a grin. “Let’s catch a cab.”

“What, I thought you wanted to walk home?”

“I was walking you home before I knew I was going to get a blow job tonight,” he grinned.

“Oh my gosh, Harry, that’s absolutely horrible.”

“How is it horrible, Sarah? You’re the one that just made me the promise.”

“I didn’t make you a promise. I just said...”

“Okay, well you’re the one that said... do you think I’m going to hesitate and make you change your mind?”

“No, I guess not, so I guess you’re saying you want me to give you a blow job?”

“Sarah, what do you think?”

I giggled.

“I think you want me to give you a blow job very, very badly.”

“Oh my gosh, Sarah, you are such a tease. I do not know what has come over you.”

“I don’t know. I just want to have fun, right? We do the things we’re going to do and then we have our one night of passion and then we move on with our lives.”

“Yeah,” he said thoughtfully. “I think that’s going to be pretty hard.”

“Harder than you are right now?” I said with a wicked smile.

“Oh Sarah, you have no idea at all,” he said with a wink back at me. “Absolutely no idea.”
