My Boom Town Warát

Warát is a mythical or imaginary place with which we may be familiar. The poor country mice, who form the majority, are sovereign in name only, because they vote. But most of those they vote for turn out to be greedy rats who steal, hoard, steal some more, and aspire to become King Rat and Queen Rat. The ruling rats claim Warát is progressing (just because malls and mines are blooming all over). Millions of poor mice feel otherwise, and swim across the sea to avoid the treadmill of the rat race. The Fat Rats say Warát is a “boom town,” but underneath is a “social volcano” threatening to erupt, and the next boom you hear may spell doom.
