CHALLENGE #4:

Eat Less Sugar

I’ve spent six years in healthcare communications and devoted much of that time to content and executive marketing strategies. One thing I’ve learned: when it comes to health, consumers know what is and isn’t good for them, and with respect to the latter, sometimes they don’t care. Seriously. I can preach about the perils of processed meat all day long, for instance, but if you think bacon is delicious and traditionally fry up a pan of it for Sunday morning brunch with your family every week, the health benefits (or lack thereof) don’t actually matter much. The same is true for sugar. You already know a giant cinnamon roll isn’t good for your health. But you’re going to eat one once in a while, health knowledge be damned. Still, moderation is key, and on the topic of added, nonnatural sugar specifically, we’d all probably do well with slightly backing off. Here’s how.
