Staying hydrated is one of those life hacks that always strikes me as beyond boring—mostly because I get tired of drinking plain water, and I’m consequently not that great on making sure I drink enough! Also, the more water I drink, the more I have to use the bathroom, which gets annoying on the regular. But I admire coworkers and friends who carry around a huge water bottle all day long, and I know drinking water is good for me, so I’ve made a continual effort to quench my thirst with water first, fun beverage second. There’s usually a ripple effect; the more water I drink, the more I notice when I’m not drinking enough water, and being dehydrated clearly results in fogginess, tiredness, lower energy levels, and a desire to snack, snack, snack because I’m actually just thirsty.
