Images of Modern America: Southern St. Joseph County is author Franklin N. Sheneman II’s latest publication. His first Arcadia Publishing book, Images of America: Southern St. Joseph County (pictured), was published in 2004 and is currently in its second printing. Sheneman has many personal ties to the area. He is the sixth generation of his family to grow up in the North Liberty area, and his family was among those relocated from the land that became Potato Creek State Park. He has spent over 20 years conducting genealogical and local history research on southern St. Joseph County. He is a graduate of Indiana University South Bend.
