“Let us know if you need anything.” Gio hands me two full bags of food. He didn’t want us to worry about having to venture out right now.
“I will, thanks for bringing all of this over.” I hold out my free hand to shake his.
He nods. “Absolutely. We’ve been checking out the online response to Becca’s interview. It’s been about ninety-five percent positive and most of the negative is from internet trolls.”
“Good, good. Thanks again.” Gio leaves and I unpack the food, sticking it all in the refrigerator for now.
Once that’s done, I head into the bedroom to check on Becca. She’s laying on her side staring blindly out of the window.
I sit next to her hip and stroke a hand over her hair. “You doing okay?”
She nods. “In a way I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Doesn’t that sound weird? I mean, I shared something painful with all of Chicago. Unless it’s gone viral.” Becca’s eyes widen. “Oh god, has it gone viral?”
I shake my head. “Not really viral, but it’s making its rounds. People are supporting you and are sharing their own stories.”
“Wow,” she whispers.
“Do you think you need to talk to someone? Delilah gave me the number of her therapist that helped her after her ordeal went down.”
She shrugs. “It probably wouldn’t hurt.” Becca is quiet for a moment and then grabs my hand. “What happens now?”
I brush her hair out of her face. “What do you mean?”
“You’ve done your job protecting me, and getting me through my first big fight. Do you want me to go home?”
I pull her into my arms. “Hell no. I’d like to keep you right here.” I pull back. “Do you want to leave?”
She shakes her head. “Nope, I like cuddling with you too much.”
Her cellphone rings, and she picks it up off the nightstand. “It’s my dad.”
“Answer it but put it on speaker phone,” I tell her.
“Hello, Dad,” she greets him.
“How dare you go on television making me sound like the bad guy. Now I’ve got the press banging on my door, wanting an interview—asking me how I could let that man hurt you. I’d like to slap…”
“I’m going to stop you right there, mate. Don’t you ever talk to her like that again,” I growl. How can he be such a wanker?
“Who the fuck are you? She’s my daughter and I’ll do as I…” I disconnect before he can talk anymore.
I take Becca’s phone and set it down on the nightstand. “Fuck, I know he’s your dad, but I’d like to punch his bloody face.”
She shrugs. “He brings that feeling out in a lot of people.”
Her stomach growl, making me smile. “Lets eat, and then snuggle.” I tell her as I pull her up and off the bed.

It’s been a week since Becca’s interview aired. She has met with Melissa, Delilah’s therapist, once and they had a nice chat. For a while Becca will meet with her once a week, just to work things out.
Now I watch her work with Clint, her original sparring partner. She’s so much better than him and he’s tiring out, but he works well with her. It’s obvious they care for each other, and luckily he was very friendly to me, even though I’m the one who took his job.
Gio, had promised me that the guy understood and was cool. I watch as Clint flips her around on the mat. They grapple around on the floor until Becca flips him to his back, getting him to tap out.
He helps her stand, and they step off the mat, grabbing their water. I love how focused she is while she trains. Becca means business, and from what her team has told me, she’s like that no matter if she has a fight coming up or not.
I chance a glance outside and immediately get pissed. Cal is signaling with his hand to go to him. I march toward the door, throwing it open. “Mate, I thought I told you not to come back here.”
“I know—I know. I just wanted to tell you I saw Becca’s interview. I’m gonna help you find James. He deserves to pay for what he did.”
I sigh. “Cal, I appreciate it, but us trained professionals are on top of it. Please don’t do anything to mess this up for us.”
He nods. “Okay, I promise I won’t.” I don’t totally believe him, but he hasn’t done anything to prove that he means to harm Becca. “I hope you make sure he pays for what he did.” I’m beginning think he’s never had any intention of hurting her, but I’m still not going to let her near him…just in case.
I stay outside until he disappears down the street and only then do I head inside.
Gio stops me the moment I’m through the door. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah, he wants to help with the hunt for James, but I asked him not to, and to leave it to us.”
He claps me on the shoulder. “Thank you for handling him, as always.”
I follow him back over to the mat, watching Becca and Clint fight again.

I glide in and out of Becca’s pussy. She just came so hard that I swear she was having a seizure. Her channel ripples around my cock, triggering my own orgasm. I pump once, twice, and then bury myself to the hilt as my cock jerks inside her.
“Fuck, baby. That was incredible.” I kiss her softly on the lips, and then pull out of her. “Let me get rid of this.”
I kiss her once more before climbing out of bed and head into the bathroom. After I take care of business I head back into the bedroom, climbing into bed. Becca scooches in close and snuggles into me.
I wrap my arm around her waist. “You are amazing, do you know that?” I kiss her forehead. “Thank you for sharing your body with me.”
Becca kisses my chest. “You’re going to make me cry.” Even in the dark I can tell she’s smiling. “I didn’t want to like you; you know that, right?” I chuckle. “You’re the first man I’ve ever been able to give my body to and god, it’s so cheesy, but I’m glad it was you.”
She makes me feel crazy shit I’ve never felt before. This girl has changed my life without even knowing it, and that’s what I tell her. “I’ve had no desire ever to have a girlfriend, but damn, I want to be your boyfriend.”
Pushing me to my back, Becca climbs on top of me. We lie chest to chest. “Dalton Buckley, what am I going to do with you?”
I pull her mouth to mine and it’s a long time before we fall asleep.
