Additional Trails

The Dose Terrace Trail makes a 1.2-mile loop through the bottomland forest beside the Dosewallips River.

The Ranger Hole Trail is a 0.8-mile spur from the historic Interrorem Ranger Station to a pretty pool on the Duckabush River. A short nature trail loops out from its beginning and identifies some of the more common plants found here.

The Brothers Trail is an access route for climbers bound for The Brothers. It ends at a base camp on the East Fork of Lena Creek.

The Putvin way trail makes a brutal and brushy climb from the Hamma Hamma River to Lake of the Angels within Olympic National Park. It is not maintained, and travelers should expect problems finding the route at the higher elevations.

The Mount Washington Trail runs up to a saddle in the ridge, then disappears. It is mainly a climber’s access route.

The Dry Creek Trail runs southwest from the head of Lake Cushman, offering a little-used path into the forested hills. It is popular with stock parties.

The Black and White way trail is a steep route from Big Log Camp to the Black and White Lakes. It is brushy at both ends but is in good shape in between. Hiking this trail in the uphill direction is not recommended.

The Mount Hopper way trail is a rough track that runs from the First Divide to the upper basin of Crazy Creek. Expect a route-finding challenge.

The Lake Success way trail is extremely difficult to follow but roughly tracks the ridgeline west and then north from Six Ridge to a small alpine tarn.
