Crime and the Law

If I hadn’t become embroiled in politics and then become a journalist, I would have quite liked being a lawyer. I very much admire the legal mind and will often read court judgments or lectures by judges because I find the clarity magnificent and the content an intellectual challenge.

As a result justice, both miscarriages of justice and the good working of the legal system, has been a theme of my columns. This section contains just a few examples.
