ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kim Addonizio is the author of two previous collections from BOA Editions, The Philosopher’s Club and Jimmy & Rita. With Dorianne Laux, she co-authored The Poet’s Companion: A Guide to the Pleasures of Writing Poetry (W.W. Norton). A book of stories, In the Box Called Pleasure, was published in 1999 by Fiction Collective 2. Her awards include two NEA Fellowships, a Commonwealth Club Poetry Medal, and a Pushcart Prize. She lives in San Francisco, where she freelances as a teacher of private workshops in the Bay Area. She recently joined the faculty of Goddard’s low-residency MFA program.
